Job summary

Virgin Hotels Las Vegas is seeking a hospitality teammate to support the food and beverage operation by bussing and resetting tables, running food and drinks, and engaging with guests and coworkers. A positive attitude helps create memorable guest experiences, and you will collaborate with servers, bartenders, and supervisors while maintaining menu knowledge.

Ideal candidates communicate clearly in English, meet safety and health requirements, and have a High School diploma; Food Handler Card

Qualifications

• Must have legal work authorization in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Food Handler Card and TABC certification with at least 6 months validity.
• Preferred: 1–2 years in full-service hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Run food and drinks as instructed by teammates (server, bartender, supervisor).
• Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized work area (stocking supplies, polishing, folding napkins, cleaning menus, sanitizing tables).
• Clear tables and carry plates to the dishwashing area.
• Deliver fabulous guest service.
• Prepare basic non-alcoholic beverages (coffee, water, iced tea).
• Explain basic details of dishes/beverages at delivery to guests.
• Other duties as assigned.

YOUR MISSION (The Job Description)

Support the food and beverage operation of the outlet through timely bussing and resetting of tables, running food and beverages, engage in polite, responsive, and timely interaction with guests and coworkers including basic menu descriptions, in addition to other responsibilities as directed by server or supervisor while maintaining a positive attitude that contributes to the team environment.

THE NITTY-GRITTY (The Essential Job Duties)

• Support server by running food and drinks as instructed by teammates including culinary server, bartender, supervisor, etc.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic and organized work environment including stocking of supplies, polishing cutlery/glassware, folding napkins, cleaning menus, sanitizing tables, etc.
• Clear tables, carry plates to dishwashing area
• Execute fabulous guest service
• Prepare basic, non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee, water, iced tea, etc.
• Explain basic details of food dishes and beverages at time of delivery to guests
• Other duties as assigned

WHAT IT TAKES (The Qualities We Look For)

• Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
• Comply with all safety and health department procedures, as well as all state and federal laws
• Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per hotel standards
• Adhere to hotel policies including but not limited to attendance, safety, behavior

MUST HAVE'S

• Current, legal and unrestricted ability to work in the United States
• High school or equivalent education required.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English
• Food Service Handler Card and TABC certification that is currently valid for a minimum of at least 6 months
• Preferred:1-2 years' experience in a full-service hospitality establishment

THE WORKING CONDITIONS

• Lift up to 60 pounds of equipment or supplies, and move carts that weigh up to 100 pounds
• Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of cold, heat, and sound. Incumbents are at times subject to hazards such as chemicals; proper safety precautions will be taken. This position occasionally works outside and is subject to all weather Proper clothing is provided
• Stand and walk for entire shift
• Balance, bend, carry, climb stairs and ladders, crawl, reach, squat, and twist. These actions are required to assist guests in the proper use of equipment and to perform other job duties
