Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Food Runner – Poolside Restaurants is to support the restaurant and pool team by delivering food items to guests in a friendly and efficient manner both in the poolside restaurants and at the pool decks. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Delivers food items to guests.
• Ensures food orders are delivered in an efficient and friendly manner.
• Assists with running dishes from the restaurant and pool deck back to the kitchen.
• Keeps all work areas clean.
• Alerts the Server and/or Manager of any issues with the restaurant or guests.
• Assists with food preparation, as needed.
• Organizes and arranges products and tools.
• Assists the pool team with bussing and removing plates, silverware, linen, and debris from the pool deck, as needed.
• Assists the Chef on Duty with expediting orders, garnishing hot food, presenting plates, loading trays, stocking the station, and performing side work duties.
• Follows safety protocols at all times.
• Maintains consistent and regular attendance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 18+ years of age.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Health Card or other required certifications.
• 1 year experience in a restaurant or pool environment with food & beverage service.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Work in indoor/outdoor environments with temperatures between 40-120 degrees.
• Lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Access all areas of the property physically.
• Maintain composure and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Prolonged walking, standing, bending, and kneeling.
• Work in a fast-paced environment.
