Job summary

Urth Caffé, Inc. in Southern California is seeking a team-oriented kitchen helper and service teammate to support daily kitchen prep, manage the expediter station, and assist with to-go orders while ensuring guests receive friendly, timely service.

Work is in person at our Hawthorne location. The role requires adherence to safety guidelines, ability to lift up to 25 lbs, and a commitment to guest satisfaction with benefits including health, dental, 401(k), and employee discounts.

Responsibilities

• Organize the walk-in refrigerator; receive, store, and properly date all deliveries.
• Assist the kitchen with daily food preparation.
• Set up and maintain the expediter station.
• Prepare utensil roll-ups for kitchen use.
• Stock to-go supplies and package takeout orders for guests.
• Ensure hot food items are delivered promptly.
• Check all food for quality and presentation before serving.
• Greeting guests professionally; deliver food, offer assistance, and thank guests while inviting them to enjoy their meal.
• Serve food using a napkin to hold plates; ensure orders are complete and confirm if additional items are pending.
• Deliver utensils, napkins, condiments, and side items as needed.
• Pre-bus tables following the "full hands in, full hands out" standard.
• Refill water for guests on return trips.
• Deliver cakes and pies to the kitchen as needed.
• Ensure guests receive all requested items and confirm satisfaction.
• Immediately notify management of any issues involving outside food, beverages, or smoking.
• Communicate additional guest requests to management promptly.
