Job summary

Sorelle is seeking a Food Runner to support servers, deliver dishes, describe menu items, and help maintain smooth dining room service. You will work as part of a united team, ensuring guests are welcomed and served promptly with accuracy and courtesy.

This role requires attentiveness, knowledge of food and beverage, and the ability to communicate clearly with guests and colleagues. You will help expediting orders, keep stations organized, and uphold the restaurant's standards of excellence.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must possess basic computational ability.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Ability to describe all menu items, prices, and methods of preparation; use suggestive selling to guests.
• Must have knowledge of the Food Runner/Back Server Manual.
• Must know the dinner menu matrix and cuisine manual.

Responsibilities

• Act with integrity and promote the culture and values of Sorelle.
• Ensure guests feel welcome and receive professional service.
• Maintain clean, organized workstations aligned with restaurant standards.
• Support servers and assist expediting the dining room flow.
• Describe dinner features and answer guests' questions about the menu and wine list.
• Liaise with servers to communicate guest needs and changes in orders.
