Location

The Elser Hotel & Residences is a 49-story luxury condominium hotel located in Downtown Miami. The newly completed tower offers 646 fully furnished rooms/residences, over 19,000 square feet of curated amenities, and 5,000 square feet of prime retail space. Named after the historic Elser Pier, built in the 1900s, the hotel continues the tradition of enjoying Biscayne Bay's shoreline in downtown Miami.

Position Overview

The Food Runner ensures the timely delivery of orders to maintain high guest satisfaction by providing fresh food. This role involves ensuring order accuracy, aesthetic presentation, assisting with table clearing, resetting, and maintaining health code standards.

Responsibilities

1. Report to work area on time in proper uniform.
2. Prepare garnishing station as requested at the beginning of the shift.
3. Deliver food timely and accurately as requested by servers and prepared by chefs.
4. Be knowledgeable of all menu items and ingredients.
5. Interpret server requests accurately and seek clarification when needed.
6. Ensure proper table setup for the next course.
7. Deliver food accurately to the correct location and seat without auctioning.
8. Description of food to guests upon delivery.
9. Assist in cleaning, detailing, and resetting tables.
10. Maintain a neat, organized, and detailed work area.
11. Participate in additional projects assigned by the manager.
12. Attend departmental meetings.

Qualifications

1. Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
2. Willing to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
3. Effective team player, able to coordinate with servers and bussers.
4. Capable of standing/walking for extended periods and engaging in physical activity.
5. Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs and navigate crowded spaces.
6. Neat, professional appearance, with a genuine Spirit of Aloha and enthusiasm for public interaction.
7. TB clearance required.
8. Pass pre-employment screenings including background checks, drug tests, and references.
