Job summary

The Left Bank in Weston, Vermont, is seeking a Food Runner to help deliver food and beverages accurately and expediently, while maintaining a warm, engaging guest experience. You will coordinate with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to stand for hours and move with ease during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve guest food and/or beverage orders and deliver promptly and accurately.
• Know current food and beverage offerings; answer questions and make recommendations.
• Greet guests with warmth and clear, stylized communication.
• Notify bar and kitchen staff of special requests; work as a team to meet expectations.
• Maintain cleanliness of restaurant spaces to be inviting and accommodating.
• Clear unneeded items from tables during and after dining.
• Dispose of trash and deliver used dishware to the appropriate area.
• Communicate with staff and management to ensure quality guest experiences and smooth operation.
• Assist in restaurant setup by cleaning and stocking as needed.
• Procure necessary supplies from storage and prep for use.
• Complete additional duties as assigned as part of a team.

About this job...

Food Runners greatly impact guest experience by ensuring expedient and accurate delivery of food and beverage items and prompt clearing of unneeded table items. Food Runners must communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, cooks, dishwashers, and managers to ensure overall guest satisfaction.

What you'll be doing...

• Retrieve guest food and/or beverage orders and accurately and efficiently deliver to the guest
• Confidently know the current food and beverage offerings and answer questions or make recommendations
• Provide each guest an individualized greeting using charisma and stylized communication
• Notify bar and kitchen staff of special requests or needs, and work as a team to deliver on expectations
• Maintain cleanliness of restaurant spaces to be inviting and accommodating
• Clear unneeded items from tables throughout and after the guest dining experience
• Dispose of trash and deliver used dish- and bar-ware to the appropriate location
• Effectively communicate with restaurant staff and management to ensure quality guest experiences and smooth restaurant operation
• Assist in preparing the restaurant by cleaning and stocking as needed
• Proactively obtain necessary supplies from storage areas and prep for use
• Complete additional duties as assigned as part of a team dynamic
