Job summary

Auberge Collection is seeking a Food Runner / Expeditor to help ensure flawless dining experiences in our New York area properties. This role focuses on expediting orders, coordinating kitchen and front-of-house teams, and assisting guests with timely, attentive service.

You will work in a luxury setting, communicating with team members to ensure orders are accurate, presented well, and delivered promptly. A collaborative, guest-centric approach is essential to success in this fast-paced

Qualifications

• Prior experience in customer service or a similar role, in a luxury setting, is preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
• Ability to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure communication in the kitchen between the front of house and back of house teams by calling out orders, getting the status on dishes, and calling the waitstaff to serve completed dishes.
• Ensure that all orders are completed accurately, in time, and with the correct priority.
• Perform the finishing touches to completed dishes, such as adding garnishes and removing smudges.
• Assisting servers, bartenders, and guests in the dining experience, taking orders and delivering requested items in an efficient and timely manner.
• Relate with guests about needs, satisfaction with the beverage and drinks, ensuring a consistently caring and high-quality service.
• Operate, maintain and properly clean all restaurant equipment and fittings.
• Ensure that the expediting area and restaurant outlets are tidy, organized, and well stocked at all times.
• Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g. proper temperature).
• Check in with guests upon delivery of dishes and ensure they have everything they need, as needed
