Job summary

Toca Madera is hiring a Food Runner at our Scottsdale location. You will deliver hot food, name each dish accurately, and coordinate with the kitchen and front of house to ensure orders are fulfilled properly.

Role requires at least 6 months in a fine dining setting, weekend and holiday availability, and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential for a high-energy dining experience.

Qualifications

• 6 months of similar experience in fine dining or full-service environment.
• Available to work weekends and holidays.
• Able to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for shifts.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team; English fluency required.

Food Runners are responsible for controlling the flow of food in and out of the kitchen and maintaining clear communication between the kitchen and front of house team. Additional responsibilities include setting tables, serving food orders and removing used dishes and utensils. Runners must have extensive menu knowledge to be able to correctly name each dish (including modifications) as it is delivered to a table. Ultimately, you will ensure our guests have a high-quality dining experience by serving their food in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities

• Available to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for the duration of shifts
• Excellent communication skills including the ability to work in a team, assist with guests’ concerns, and to receive and follow verbal instructions provided in English
