Job summary

Gator's Dockside in Baldwin Park is seeking a Food Runner to help expedite meals from kitchen to table and to bridge communication between FOH and BOH teams. As an entry-level role, you will support service staff and learn the dynamics of a busy restaurant environment.

Ideal candidates bring basic food safety knowledge and strong communication while staying calm during peak hours. This position is on-site in Orlando with flexible weekend shifts and opportunities to grow within the restaurant

Qualifications

• Experience as a Food Runner or similar entry-level role in a restaurant
• Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules
• Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours
• Availability to work various shifts, including weekends
• Good oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests’ tables rapidly and accurately
• Act as the contact point between Front of House and Back of House employees
• Remove dirty dishes and utensils from guest tables when needed
• Answer guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items
• Inform restaurant staff about guests’ feedback or requests
