Job summary

CRAVE American Kitchen & Sushi Bar is seeking a friendly Wait Assistant to greet guests, clear tables, deliver water, and assist with food service in our dining area. This hourly role requires fast, cheerful service from early morning to late night, and teamwork with kitchen staff and managers to maintain smooth operations.

Applicants should communicate well, work independently when needed, stay organized, and uphold high standards of cleanliness and hospitality to ensure every guest leaves

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear the tables in the dining area.
• Bring glasses of water to newly seated guests and refill water.
• Deliver food to the guests.
• Carry dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning.
• Scrape the dishes and stack them for dishwasher area.
• Clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture, or equipment in food service areas.
• Clean up spills and remove trash.
• Maintain side-work and ensure smooth restaurant operation.
• Interact with guests and staff in a friendly, fast manner.
• Treat guests to ensure complete satisfaction and exceed expectations.
• Report to work in neat uniform and maintain hygiene.
• Work as a team to maintain atmosphere and efficient service.
• Other duties as directed.

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean and clear the tables in the dining area.
• Bring glasses of water to newly seated guests and refill water.
• Deliver food to the guests.
• Carry dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning.
• Scrape the dishes, separate the silver, stacks the dishes in the dishwasher area.
• Clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture, or equipment in food service areas or other areas of restaurants.
• Clean up spilled food or drink or broken dishes and remove empty bottles and trash.
• Maintain specific side-work and ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant.
• Able to interact with guests and staff in a friendly/fast manner.
• Treat guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strive to exceed our guests' expectations.
• Report to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
• Work as a team with all CRAVE's personnel in order to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service.
• Other duties as directed.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is an hourly paid position. Days and hours of work vary according to business hours and job requirements. Business operates seven (7) days a week; and hours start as early as 8:00 AM and can go as late as 2:00 AM depending on the work required.
