Job summary

Rosa Mexicano in New York City is seeking a friendly Food Runner to support our vibrant dining team. You will greet guests, assist servers, and ensure dishes reach tables promptly while upholding health standards and presentation.

What You'll Do

• We believe in Warm Latin Hospitality, welcome every guest like they're walking into your home.
• Serve up the best part of the guest experience – the culinary experience.
• Follow our Service Steps as outlined.
• Double check each dish at Expo for accuracy, special requests, and timing.
• Garnish and finish every plate before it leaves the kitchen, following our recipe specs.
• Move with purpose and positivity, staying calm and focused even when the restaurant is buzzing.
• Ensure food arrives promptly, presented by seat numbers, and at the right temperature.
• Maintain all Health and Sanitation Standards.
• Keep a 'never walk past a napkin on the floor' mentality.
• Act as the link between the dining room and the kitchen, communicating effectively.
• Work with Chef and the kitchen to maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked expo area so the kitchen runs efficiently through every rush.
• Quickly clean and turnover tables to maintain dining room efficiency.
• Handle glassware, silverware, and plateware with care.
• Participate in pre-shifts, trainings, and team meetings — because we grow together.
• Work together with your teammates to keep the energy high and the service seamless — at Rosa Mexicano, teamwork is always on the menu.
