Job summary

Maxime’s is a private member’s club on Manhattan’s Upper East Side seeking a Food Runner to join our world-class hospitality brigade. You will work with Servers and Captains to create a welcoming atmosphere and elevate service standards for our discerning members.

You’ll actively assist in food and beverage service, maintain mise-en-place, and uphold our brand in a high-end environment. Regular standing, walking, and occasional lifting are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Runner in fine dining, Michelin-starred venues, or luxury hotels.
• Fosters a warm and welcoming atmosphere with courteous, professional service.
• Knowledge of table lay-up and mise-en-place before, during, and after service.
• Assist Captains and Captain Assistants during service.
• Thrive in high-end environments with superior service and guest satisfaction.
• Professional, upbeat demeanor and team-oriented.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, nights, weekends, holidays.

Maxime’s is a private member’s club by entrepreneur Robin Birley, located on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, New York City.

We are seeking for a Food Runner to join our world-class hospitality brigade. Reporting to our Restaurant Manager, the Runner will work closely with the Servers/Captains and other front-of-house team members to create a welcoming atmosphere and ensure the highest possible level of member satisfaction, elevating Maxime’s brand and service standards at all times.

• To be fully conversant with the table lay-up and mise-en-place prior to, during and after service.
• To actively assist the Captains and Captain Assistants in the food and beverage service.
• Thrives in high- end environments, consistently upholding superior service standards and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
• Maintains a professional, upbeat demeanor and embraces a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Ability to work a variable schedule, including early morning, nights, weekends and holidays per the needs of the business.
