Job Summary

The food runner serves in a key supporting role for the FOH and BOH staff. The food runner improves the dining experience for the venue guests through ensuring all food is served within a timely and efficient pace. This position will be expected to relay important information between management, FOH and Kitchen staff. The food runner must have great communication skills, have the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment that requires attention to detail and the capability to multi‑task.

Responsibilities

• Welcome each guest in a professional manner with a smile and friendly greeting
• Must be able to vividly and accurately explain dishes to guests prior to food drop
• Must know the ingredients and preparation methods of all dishes, sauces and condiments in order to be able to help and answer questions from guests when the dishes are brought to the table
• Assist server in coordinating food orders to guarantee timely and efficient delivery to guests
• Refill water and periodically check on guests to assure all the guests needs and orders are timely tended to
• Maintain our high food safety and sanitation standards at all times
• Assist in clearing tables by never returning back to kitchen empty‑handed
• Provide excellent customer service by always maintaining a professional and service‑minded attitude
• Do your part to support and ensure the guests have a memorable impression and overall experiences
• Respond effectively to guest’s inquiries and address with server, or other appropriate superior
• Understand the importance of your role and continuously strive to better yourself, acquire knowledge and assist where you can

Requirements

Personal Appearance

• Must abide by the brand standards pertaining to uniform requirements
• All employees must maintain good personal hygiene. Fingernails must be cut and clean. Personal appearance must be suitable for work at all times. Must be clean‑shaven at all times. Slip resistant black shoes.
• Maintain personal health and sanitation standards (wash hands when using restroom)
