Job summary

Escuela Vieja LLC is seeking a Food Runner to join our team in a farm-to-table setting in Oak Hill. You will be the link between the kitchen and wait staff, delivering food, clearing plates, and ensuring guest needs are met with a friendly, efficient approach.

Our operation emphasizes fresh, locally sourced ingredients and Texas hospitality in a restored 100+ year-old schoolhouse. Flexible scheduling and opportunities to grow within the team are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience as a food runner or similar preferred
• Familiarity with food safety guidelines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds
• Friendly and outgoing personality
• Availability to work evening and weekend shifts

Responsibilities

• Serve customers their food and beverages in an efficient manner.
• Communicate food orders to the kitchen staff.
• Refill drinks.
• Wipe down tables, chairs, and other surfaces.
• Remove tablecloths and reset tables.
• Remove dirty dishes, glasses, and silverware from tables.
• Adhere to all health and safety rules and regulations.

We are seeking a Food Runner to join the team at our restaurant! As a Food Runner, you are the link between the kitchen and the wait staff. You will deliver food, clear plates, fulfill guest needs and generally act as the liaison between the front of house and back of the house. If you’re friendly, hard-working, and interested in getting your foot in the door in the hospitality industry, we want to hear from you.
