Job summary

Feeding Champlain Valley is seeking a Food Rescue Coordinator to drive vehicles, coordinate food rescue operations, and solicit food donations from supermarkets and providers on a regular basis.

You will work with a team to keep the site clean, organized, and safe, handling food with forklift and pallet jack as required, while upholding health and safety procedures. This role supports feeding neighbors and reducing waste in Vermont.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a warehouse environment or food systems work.
• Fork truck certification preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills (bilingual abilities are a plus).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
• Ability to uphold established health and safety procedures.

Food Rescue Coordinator – Overview

Feeding Champlain Valley has an immediate opening for a Food Rescue Coordinator. In this role you will drive vehicles, coordinate food rescue, solicit food donations, and pick up food from supermarkets and food providers on a regular basis. You will work closely with a team to ensure the site remains clean, organized, and that food is handled safely using forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment as required.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting pay is $23.65 per hour, ranging from $23.65 to $24.67.
