Job summary

Eden Foods in Clinton, Michigan seeks a full-time Food Quality, Safety, & Compliance staff member. You will join the Operations Department to maintain quality systems, ensure regulatory compliance, and support supplier and customer needs while safeguarding organic, non-GMO products.

Ideal candidates have a BS/BA in a life science, HACCP/FSMA experience, and strong communication. The role emphasizes teamwork, integrity, and the ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced food environment.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Food Science, Engineering, Microbiology, Biology, or related field.
• HACCP and/or FSMA knowledge is required.
• Knowledge of organic, GMOs, and safe food handling is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain documentation, SOPs, and TraceGains data to comply with quality and safety programs.
• Help manage supplier, certifier, auditor, customer, and government relationships.
• Assess ingredients, packaging, and surfaces to minimize contamination and ensure safety and compliance.
• Ensure avoidance of GMOs and irradiated items, toxic chemicals, additives, and contamination.
• Study goods and packaging to determine applicable quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to QSC questions from internal teams and the public.
• Maintain regulatory documentation for imports/exports and organic certificates.
• Provide required documentation for QA, sales, customers, and TraceGains.
• Assist QSC with customer quality and safety issues as needed.
• Stay updated on industry/regulatory developments and attend trainings.
