Job summary

Gellert Global Group is seeking a Food Quality Control Supervisor to oversee daily QC operations at a food manufacturing facility. You will ensure raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products meet specifications and regulatory standards while coaching QC technicians and maintaining comprehensive documentation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or Microbiology, 3–5 years’ experience in food manufacturing or quality control, and strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily quality control operations on the production floor.
• Ensure raw materials in process products and finished goods meet specifications.
• Monitor compliance with HACCP GMPs EMPs and company food safety programs.
• Review and verify production and quality records for accuracy and completeness.
• Train schedule and supervise QC technicians.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Ensure team follows proper sampling testing and documentation procedures.
• Oversee product sampling and testing microbiological chemical and physical as required.
• Review Certificates of Analysis COAs and approve materials for use.
• Ensure proper implementation of hold and release procedures.
• Investigate out of specification results and implement corrective actions.
• Support internal customer and regulatory audits.
• Maintain documentation required for FDA USDA if applicable and third party audits.
• Ensure compliance with SQF BRC or other applicable certification standards.
• Oversee environmental monitoring programs.
• Verify sanitation effectiveness through inspections and testing.
• Report and address any food safety risks promptly.
• Identify trends in quality data and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to reduce defects and waste.
• Participate in root cause analysis and correctivepreventive action processes

Qualifications

1. Bachelors degree in Food Science Microbiology or related field preferred
2. 3 5 years of experience in food manufacturing or quality control
3. Previous supervisory experience preferred
4. Strong knowledge of HACCP GMPs and food safety regulations
5. Experience with FDA andor USDA inspections
6. Familiarity with SQF BRC or other GFSI standards preferred
7. Excellent attention to detail and problem solving ability
8. Ability to work in a fast paced production environment
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office
10. Effective written and verbal communication skills
11. Ability to analyze data and make sound decisions
12. Flexibility to work shifts weekends or holidays as needed
