Job summary

Rich’s (Rich Products Corporation) is seeking a QA Technician to assure food safety through HACCP compliance monitoring and corrective actions. You will document test results, review data trends and coordinate lab activities to ensure product safety and quality.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry or Biology, strong PC skills, familiarity with statistics, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs while handling lab equipment and taste testing responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, chemistry or biology required.
• Experience with lab testing and product sampling preferred.
• Strong PC skills including Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of statistics and software packages.
• Understanding of microbiological contaminants is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate lab equipment.
• Experience in food processing or quality control is a plus.
• Proficient in data recording and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Document test results and communicate deviations with management.
• Review data and direct follow-up of product testing deviations and trends.
• Conduct product and process capability studies as directed by QA Manager.
• Perform QA tasks including sampling, line monitoring, auditing, lab testing and calibrations.
• Coordinate lab operations, raw material and finished product data and audits.
• Review microbiological testing and sanitation reports for compliance.
• Investigate root cause of defects and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and proper inventory of lab supplies.
