Job summary

AlaTrade Foods, LLC is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to monitor product quality, packaging, and equipment in the Albertville facility. The role requires performing checks on weight, thickness, length, width, and temperature as directed by QA leadership, and maintaining strict GMP compliance.

Strong communication with line supervisors and QA management is essential, along with the ability to lift up to 70 lbs, climb ladders, and follow HACCP/SSOP procedures to uphold food safety

Qualifications

• Pass Basic Math Test with 80% passing score.
• Good Attendance is required.
• No significant disciplinary warnings in the past 6 months.
• History of good communication with hourly personnel and management.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Must be able to climb a ladder to inspect equipment.
• Proficient English communication (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Perform Quality Checks as required by QA Management or Lead, including weight, thickness, length, width, and temperature checks. Label review and product/packaging/equipment condition checks may also be part of checks.
• Maintain open communication between line supervisor and QA Management.
• Provide feedback to line supervisor and QA Management on any food quality and safety concerns, even if products do not fail limits.
• Monitor production area and personnel for GMP violations.
• Take immediate action based on QA Hold Procedure and HACCP/SSOP programs when product/production area does not meet requirements.
• Calibrate or verify monitoring equipment as required by QA policies.
