Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for our Wayne, NJ facility. The role ensures GMP, SQF, Organic, Kosher and FDA compliance for raw materials and incoming goods, collaborating with plant personnel, shipping, purchasing, customer service and R&D to uphold quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related field and 2–5 years of experience in the food industry, with mandatory SQF experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or equivalent required.
• SQF experience is mandatory.
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in the food industry.

Responsibilities

• Addresses and answers customer concerns and requests for information.
• Ensures quality system requirements are maintained and reported.
• Evaluates current procedures and practices for department objectives and reports findings to director.
• Develops and implements quality control systems and SOPs aligned with GMP, SQF, HACCP, OSHA.
