Job summary

Fortrex is seeking a Site Manager II specializing in sanitation to lead a dedicated team and ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance across our food processing facility. You will plan, implement, and optimize sanitation programs, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement.

This role reports to the facility leadership, collaborates with operations, safety, and QA, and requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and a proven track record in food industry sanitation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to read, write, add, and subtract.
• 2 years of relevant sanitation experience.
• General working knowledge of computers/technology (MS Office).
• Able to wear PPE and work in extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement strategy for operational management to meet performance, safety, timeliness, and budget requirements.
• Manage and control site expenditures within approved budgets.
• Manage site usages of labor, supplies, and chemicals to ensure P&L standards are met.
• Evaluate and document sanitation process for cost savings with concrete figures to support recommendations.
• Monitor, measure, and report on operational issues, opportunities, and improvements.
• Communicate with Area Manager daily to report accidents, downtime, and plant issues.
• Lead sanitation crew to meet safety, cleanliness, and on-time goals.
• Develop and coach direct reporting staff; handle performance and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and safety programs.
