Westrock Coffee Company is seeking a Machine Operator to setup, run, and monitor high-speed packaging equipment. You will perform routine checks, adjust machines, and ensure product quality while following safety protocols.

Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential to meet daily production goals. You will interpret work orders, document activities, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate changeovers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively including speaking, writing, active listening and taking instructions.
• Good leadership and training skills.
• Ability and willingness to promote and support a positive culture and Westrock Coffee values.
• Ability to collaborate with all parts of the operation to achieve goals and objectives.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Able to work in a team environment with honest communication and accountability.
• Quick troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow specifications and manuals.
• Basic math skills.
• Mechanical aptitude, including comfort with using tools to make simple repairs.

Responsibilities

• Operates production equipment safely and efficiently to hit production and waste goals.
• Completes required documents and checklists; reports malfunctions to supervisor.
• Interprets work orders to ensure materials and specs are followed.
• Troubleshoots and resolves basic-to-moderate operation difficulties.
• Ensures coffee has adequate gas-off time.
• Completes change-over sheets and coordinates with line support for materials.
• Uses computer to open coffee bin and print item labels.
• Programs packaging machine based on manufacturing specs.
• Adjusts packaging equipment for correct case size and coffee per package.
• Manages packaging: closes boxes, labels, and runs tape line.
• Performs visual, weight, and seal inspections on packages.
• Identifies nonconforming goods for disposition.
• Moves boxes to pallets, stacks, and records pallet data.
• Records downtime and submits maintenance requests as needed.
• Cleans machines and work areas to prevent dust.
• Checks packaging machines and ensures correct bag changes.
• Collects samples for quality assurance.
• Follows safety and PPE protocols and maintains organized work areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
