Job summary

Perdue Foods is seeking a Machine Operator for the Thigh Debone department. You will maintain, service, and repair production equipment to ensure safety, reliability, and quality across daily operations.

The role requires reading and interpreting manuals, performing PM tasks, and responding to emergencies while following OSHA and company safety protocols. Strong analytical skills and practical tool use are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing/production.
• Reading, writing, and analytical skills required.
• Must have personal tools and be able to use hand tools and industrial shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret and understand equipment manuals, PM task sheets and safety policies.
• Perform equipment adjustments, repairs, maintenance and emergency shutdowns.
• Maintain logbooks and calibrate machinery to performance standards.
• Provide hands-on training to lower-level mechanics and techs.
• Keep equipment clean and tidy throughout the shift.
