Job summary

Sodexo at Indiana State University is seeking a Food Prep Helper to assist in the kitchen with the preparation and serving of vibrant menus and to keep work areas clean and organized. This full-time position offers varying shifts, open availability preferred, and comprehensive benefits.

Successful candidates are team‑oriented, reliable, with 0–1 year of related experience beneficial; you will contribute to a welcoming customer experience and ensure food safety and quality across daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Reads recipes and/or product directions and assists in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods using a variety of kitchen utensils/equipment

• May have basic cooking responsibilities, i.e., cook vegetables, chicken for salads
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements

Employment Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $12.50 - $17.05
