The role involves operating high-pressure cleaning equipment, handling chemical cleaners, hand-scrubbing where needed, and coordinating with team members to meet safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with leadership and co-workers
• H.S. education preferred
• Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred

Responsibilities

• Remove screens and covers from processing equipment for cleaning purposes.
• Operate a high-pressure hot water spray gun used to rinse off food particles and remove foamed chemical compounds.
• Operate a mechanical foaming unit to apply chemical cleaning compounds.
• Knowledge of chemicals used for cleaning and where different chemical cleaners are to be used.
• Areas not completely cleaned with foaming cleaner will be hand scrubbed with scouring pads and cleaners.
• Processing equipment, floors and ceilings are rinsed with high volume cold-water rinse.
• Airplane brushes are used to clean painted surfaces.
• Operate conveyors; chill tanks and machines as needed for cleaning with safety as main concern.
• Remove and soak white plastic conveyors and boning boards in cleaning solutions.
• Work to ensure cleanliness of area equipment and ensure food safety standards are adhered to.
