Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and ongoing upkeep of equipment and facilities in our metro food production site.

The role requires knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems, plus the ability to read manuals, blueprints, and safety procedures while coordinating with stakeholders and vendors. A flexible schedule including nights and weekends may be needed.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of maintenance experience in food production or manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read repair manuals, parts catalogs, blueprints, and safety procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Implement preventative maintenance schedules and checklists for all equipment.
• Log maintenance activities and coordinate with vendors.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and plan repairs.
• Assist with inventory management of maintenance supplies and tools.
• Maintain logs of routine maintenance and vendor scheduling.
• Mentor team members in proper equipment use and safety.
