Job summary
CJ Schwan’s in Sidney, Ohio is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance activities on the shop floor. You will oversee 5S, safety, and the reliability of equipment, coordinating with the Maintenance Planner and cross-functional teams to minimize downtime.
The role requires 5+ years in maintenance with 2+ years in leadership, strong knowledge of plant systems, and PLC/troubleshooting expertise.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience with 2+ years in leadership.
- Knowledge of plant systems, SAP, and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Improves organization and effectiveness of workspaces via Shop Tools and Facilities (5S, safety).
- Supervises daily maintenance tasks and allocates resources with the planner/scheduler.
- Participates in site DMS meetings and reports maintenance metrics weekly.
- Tracks KPI metrics: PM, backlog, aging work orders, mean time to repair.
- Leads troubleshooting to root cause and reduces reliability losses with cross-functional teams.
- Advances maintenance strategies using feedback from teams and equipment monitoring.
