Job summary

The Campbell's Company in Ashland, Ohio, is seeking a Packer to join our production team on the 2nd shift. The role focuses on efficient packing, carton preparation, and readiness for shipping.

You will perform manual packing, labeling, and carton assembly while ensuring tape, seals, and bag registration meet packaging specs. You’ll also palletize displays and move finished goods using a pallet jack up to 300 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of production experience in a manufacturing environment required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares cardboard cartons/trays for product packing by folding, taping, sorting, and labeling cartons, securing carton ends together and placing cartons/trays on the work area.
• Visual inspections of final product packaging for integrity including bag registration, code dates, prices, bag and cases for proper seals.
• Fills cartons/displays based on packaging specs and ensures correct labeling and sealing.
• Stacks cartons/trays on pallets with the correct pattern; uses pallet jack to move finished goods up to 300 lbs.
• Clears loose product from turntable/area; discards defective bags, boxes, trays; sweeps floor.
• Assists with product rework according to plant expectations and maintains 5S housekeeping.
• Reports issues to Machine Operators, Group Leader, or Supervisor as appropriate.
• Performs sanitation tasks and prepares line for startup or changeovers.
