Job summary

Heritage Hall in Brookneal, VA is seeking a Food & Nutrition Aide to help deliver nutritious meals to residents in a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

You will follow dietary guidelines, assist with meal service, and support daily kitchen operations. Weekend rotation is required. This role is essential to promote healing and well-being in our long-term care community, with opportunities to learn about dietary policies and safe food handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in food service and healthcare is preferred.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Familiar with dietary services in long-term care facilities.
• Knowledge of applicable dietary laws and guidelines.
• Weekends on a rotating schedule are required.

Food & Nutrition Aide Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior food service experience
• Prior healthcare experience
• Ability to understand both written and verbal instructions
• Knowledge of dietary services practices and procedures
• Knowledge of the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing dietary services in a long-term care facility
• Ability to work every other weekend is required!
