Job summary

Tyson Foods in Newbern, TN is seeking an entry-level general laborer to support production, follow GMPs, wear PPE, and operate basic equipment. You will read batch tickets, help set up the mixing platform, and maintain safety and attendance.

This on-site role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, willingness to work 8–12 hour shifts, and potential cross-training across lines. Tyson Foods provides benefits including paid time off and 401(k) plans.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months continuous employment in the last 18 months.
• Preferred candidates have at least 6 months of relevant machine operator, warehouse, agriculture or production experience.
• Physically able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without accommodation.
• Willing to work 8–12 hour shifts in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately scale and measure ingredients using scales.
• Condense partial pallets of ingredients daily.
• Program liquid bulk and dry bulk system for mixer.
• Set up mixing platform with pre-scales.
• Read batch tickets for mixing instructions.
• Operate assigned equipment and maintain it.
