Job summary

Utz Brands, Inc. in Hanover, PA is seeking a Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations across shifts, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. You will coordinate with HR, production, and packaging teams to optimize staffing and line performance.

You will monitor labor, training, lean initiatives, and IWS, while driving continuous improvement and food-safety practices. The role demands hands-on leadership, strong communication, and the ability to adapt to changing production

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food manufacturing.
• Experience in planning and scheduling within a production or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and Redzone production systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Flexible to work across all shifts as needed based on demand.
• Maintains regular communication with HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, and Talent Manager to align staffing strategies.
• Coordinates and builds lines of communication within departments, with processing and packaging supervisors, and all reporting personnel.
• Meets production scheduler requirements efficiently and maintains quality, adjusting for downtime or shortages.
• Monitors and analyzes labor hours and crew size needed to run production lines.
• Oversees training programs for all shifts and ensures proper training for all personnel.
• Ensures film waste program is maintained throughout Packaging and incorporated into overall waste program.
• Analyzes existing production lines and recommends adaptations to increase effectiveness and lower costs.
• Supports Integrated Work Systems (IWS) with line KPIs and performance standards.
• Ensures safety performance and strong safety culture across the team.
• Follows GMP and SQF requirements and performs other duties to support department objectives.
