Job summary

dfa seeks a lab technician to perform routine and non-routine testing on shelf-stable products and ingredients, ensuring compliance with specifications and procedures. The role includes product audits, GMP-focused line checks, and accurate documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Shift is 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential weekends based on demand. Strong communication and English reading skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Lab or food science experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and non-routine testing of shelf stable Acidified, High Acid, and Retorted products for compliance to specifications.
• Conduct finished product audits in accordance to current procedure.
• Insure Broken Jar pallets are fixed in a timely manner.
• Reading and signing lab procedures on Annual Basis.
• Conduct line audit for GMP compliance.
• Communicate out-of-specification products to operations supervisor on duty.
• Record accurate results for tests completed on correct forms.
• Cleanup and organization of work area.
• Other tasks as assigned.
