Job summary

Lyons Magnus LLC in Fresno, CA, is seeking a seasoned Research & Development professional to lead new product development and improve existing offerings. You will apply culinary and scientific techniques to deliver consumer-valued attributes and drive profitable growth.

You will manage multiple development projects with rigorous experimental design, collaborate across Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Sourcing, and oversee sensory panels, supplier relationships, and customer interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, or equivalent science program.
• Minimum 5 years in industrial or applied food science/R&D.
• Experience with customer interaction.

Responsibilities

• Direct development of new products and improvements to meet annual plans.
• Lead multiple development projects with rigorous experimental design.
• Investigate product/process challenges and provide creative solutions.
• Build relationships with scientists, customers, and suppliers.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, QA, and Purchasing to optimize processes.
• Oversee sensory panels, shelf-life studies, and competitive testing.
• Travel to manufacturing sites as needed for trials and scale-up.
• Project management across cross-functional teams for commercialization.
