Job summary

Paleovalley and Wild Pastures is seeking a Machine Operator to join our Mesa production team. You will operate and monitor food-grade processing and packaging equipment, perform CIP and sanitation, and help maintain audit-ready operations to ensure product safety and quality.

The role requires 1+ year in a regulated manufacturing environment, basic mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. This onsite position offers competitive pay and benefits in a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a food, beverage, supplement, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating production or processing equipment in a regulated manufacturing setting.
• Ability to follow GMP, SOPs, and food safety regulations (FDA/USDA).
• Ability to perform equipment cleaning and sanitation procedures, including safety protocols.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor food-grade processing and packaging equipment including kettles, dehydrators, separators, mills, labelers, and date coders to ensure efficient and consistent production.
• Execute machine setups and changeovers to support production schedules and minimize downtime.
• Perform CIP and sanitation procedures to maintain food safety standards and ensure equipment is audit-ready.
• Maintain production flow by monitoring materials, removing finished goods, and adjusting machine settings as needed.
• Inspect finished products for labels, seals, weights, and date codes to ensure compliance with specs.
• Document batch, LOT, and production data to maintain traceability and regulatory compliance.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate to reduce downtime and protect quality.
• Collaborate with QA, Production Leads, and Maintenance to ensure GMP, FDA, and USDA adherence.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and communicate recommendations to enhance efficiency and quality.
