Job summary

Walmart Texarkana, AR is seeking a Technician, Facility Services, Food Equipment to maintain and repair food equipment and facilities. You will diagnose issues, follow preventive maintenance schedules, and coordinate with contractors to ensure safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification and 2 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 4 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on food equipment, facilities, and fixtures following established schedules and guidelines.
• Inspect, clean, and test equipment to diagnose issues and determine replacement needs to minimize future repairs.
• Utilize blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogues to dismantle and repair machinery using hand and power tools.
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor activities, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and participate in on-call rotations to support critical business needs.
• Operate and maintain heavy machinery and company vehicles in accordance with safety procedures and policies.
• Document repair activities, track parts orders, submit invoices, and maintain accurate records.
