Job summary

Community Food Bank is seeking a Warehouse Operations Associate to accurately pick, stage, and load orders using electric pallet jacks and reach trucks. You will use handheld scanners to ensure inventory accuracy and follow FIFO/FEFO practices to maintain product quality.

Responsibilities include maintaining food safety standards, performing cycle counts, and collaborating with drivers and staff to ensure smooth operations. Flexibility for varied shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics preferred.
• Experience with electronic inventory systems (handheld scanners, WMS).
• Ability to read product labels and perform simple math for inventory docs.

Responsibilities

• Operate warehouse equipment (electric pallet jack, reach truck) to pick, stage, and load/unload orders.
• Use handheld scanners for real-time inventory transactions to ensure order accuracy.
• Follow FIFO/FEFO practices for product distribution.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in all areas, including coolers.
• Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and monthly inventory activities.
• Tag, store, and move products to designated areas following procedures.
• Identify and report safety risks, product damage, and incidents to supervisors.
• Cross-train in various warehouse functions to support operations.
