Job summary

CPS, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Master Data Specialist in Chicago to bridge R&D and IT, ensuring ingredient data, recipes, formulations, and development docs are captured and accessible.

This onsite role supports NPD teams and cross-functional groups across Quality, Regulatory, and Procurement. You will build centralized data systems, enforce naming conventions, manage COAs and regulatory docs, and collaborate with IT to optimize PLM/ERP tools, enabling faster innovation and better data

Qualifications

• BS degree in Food Science, Data Management, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in master data management in food/CPG.
• Proficiency in Specright, SAP, Plex, Genesis.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a centralized digital repository for ingredients, recipes, formulations, and process docs.
• Create standardized naming conventions, metadata structures, and version-control processes.
• Ensure ingredient specs, COAs, nutritional data, allergen info, and regulatory docs are stored.
• Maintain version histories for formulas, prototypes, and scale-up iterations.
• Partner with IT to configure or optimize PLM, ERP, or R&D data systems.
