Pechanga Resort Casino is seeking a Food Court Chef to manage daily Culinary Department operations within PRC regulations in Temecula. Lead staffing, schedule plans, and staff development while delivering high-quality, safe, and compliant meals.
Responsibilities include controlling food and labor costs, maintaining sanitation, training staff, and ensuring equipment and inventories meet standards; collaboration with the Executive Chef team is essential.
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Food Court Chef is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Culinary Department/area, in accordance with PRC regulations. Ensure the timely completion of all projects related tasks, in accordance with established procedures. Participate in the development and implementation of the department’s staffing/scheduling plan. Provide direction to subordinates on improving job performance and contribute feedback to the Team Member performance review.

This position is responsible for managing the work of the assigned Team Members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with PRC policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, reviewing, and directing work; evaluating and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and/or at least eight (8) years’ experience (including three (3) years as a chef) is preferred.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
