Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk to support Fresh departments by ensuring well‑stocked and inviting displays, assisting customers, and keeping the store running smoothly. This role emphasizes customer service and a collaborative team environment.

You will engage with customers, learn product details, and contribute to a fast‑paced retail setting. Prior retail or food service experience is helpful, but not required; physical activity is part of the job.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
