Job summary

Saint Kate, part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts in Milwaukee, seeks a Food & Beverage Supervisor. The role leads daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, quality, and operational excellence under the Studio GM.

It requires hands-on leadership with a focus on training and coaching across all front-of-house roles. Saint Kate is renowned in Milwaukee's Theater District for its creative, luxury experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant and F&B operations.
• Ability to train, coach and support team members.
• Strong communication and leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.
• English reading/writing/speaking proficiency to communicate with guests and staff.
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily restaurant operations and staff during assigned shifts.
• Lead front-of-house positions (Server, Server Assistant, Host).
• Assist with training, coaching, and onboarding of associates.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and resolve guest concerns professionally.
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards throughout shifts.
• Operate the POS system and complete sales/operational reports.
• Assist with labor control, inventory management and supply ordering.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation and safety standards.
• Coordinate staff activities to ensure efficient service and proper staffing levels.
• Assist in executing special events and group functions.
• Complete shift reports highlighting sales, guest feedback, and updates.
• Communicate associate performance and training needs to leadership.

Under the direction of The Studio GM, the F&B Supervisor is a hands‑on leader who is responsible for the daily operations of Saint Kate's food and beverage outlet, ensuring exceptional guest service, quality, and operational excellence.

What You Will Be Doing

• Ability to work all front-of-house positions, including Server, Server Assistant, and Host.
• Supervise daily restaurant operations and staff during assigned shifts.
• Assist with training, coaching, and onboarding of associates.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and resolve guest concerns professionally.
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards throughout each shift.
• Operate the POS system and complete required sales and operational reporting.
• Assist with labor control, inventory management, and supply ordering.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards.
• Coordinate staff activities to ensure efficient service and proper staffing levels.
• Assist in executing special events and group functions.
• Complete shift reports highlighting sales, guest feedback, and operational updates.
• Communicate associate performance, training needs, and operational concerns to leadership.
• Remain calm and effective during high-volume periods and emergencies.
• Support and enforce all hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in hospitality, restaurants, hotels, or a related service industry.
• Strong knowledge of restaurants and food & beverage operations.
• Ability to train, coach, and support team members while fostering a positive work environment.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and leadership.
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and high level of guest service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or carry up to 30 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, lifting, reaching, and twisting.
