About the Role

Daily supervision of the food and beverage staff at Curveball Kitchen, OKANA Resort & Indoor Water Park. Maintains a courteous and efficient operation to ensure complete guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Ability to perform all dining room positions including server, server assistant, and host.
• Open and close the restaurant.
• Supervise staff in absence of Restaurant Manager.
• Assist with on‑going training to ensure standards are met.
• Interact positively with customers, promoting hotel facilities and services.
• Resolve problems to the satisfaction of involved parties.
• Maintain profitability of the outlet to support hotel operations.
• Control payroll and equipment costs.
• Ensure par stock levels are maintained by calculating inventory, ordering, and retrieving supplies.
• Utilize POS system to accurately charge customers and ensure timeliness of food and beverage service.
• Direct and coordinate activities of all assigned associates in the food and beverage area.
• Support hotel policies and procedures, including standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, and appearance.
• Participate in the hotel's Fire, Safety, Security, and Environmental plan and/or committees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Supervise all service personnel, including counseling and discipline, to maintain service standards.
• Maintain proper set-up of food and beverage area and enforce uniform and grooming standards daily.
• Assist in conducting daily “shift” meetings to inform staff of promotions, specials, and events.
• Ensure all staff completes daily checklists.
• Possibility to set up and expedite all daily banquet functions.
• Read and follow recipes for menu production.
• Memorize production specifications, food presentations, and cooking methods for menu production.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in accordance with local health department standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous restaurant experience preferred; any experience in food and beverage supervision valued.
• Knowledge of food and beverage operations, staffing levels, service equipment, and guest relations.
• Strong communication skills; ability to read, write, and comprehend English documents and interact effectively with guests and employees.
• Ability to work entire shift standing and moving within restaurants and kitchen areas.
• Ability to handle high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger and resolve issues.
• Proficiency with POS printer in English.
