Job Overview
The Food & Beverage Server at TPC Summerlin will ensure that all newly seated guests receive immediate attention, take their orders, and serve food and beverage requests promptly and courteously.
Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of food and beverage service procedures, typically acquired through a high school education or equivalent.
- One to two years of related experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests at assigned station and make them feel welcome.
- Communicate menu specials and changes, answer questions, and take accurate orders.
- Re‑fill and clean work station at the start and end of each shift.
- Advise supervisor of any member or guest complaints for prompt resolution.
- Participate in continuous cleaning and upkeep of all food and beverage areas.
- Serve food and beverage items that meet strict standards, including soft beverages per SOP.
- Perform side‑work duties such as polishing, rolling, and organization.
- Keep stock prepared and ready for each shift.
- Maintain accountability of cash tips, handle cash, make accurate change, and record credit card and member charges per SOP.
- Complete requisition forms for all supplies as needed.
- Use proper garnishes, china, glassware, and flatware.
- Inform manager of guests that may be intoxicated; do not serve those who are clearly intoxicated.
- Open, maintain and close dining room, grill and/or pub area, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to quality standards.
- Handle problems courteously and professionally.
- Maintain par stock inventory control daily.
- Set up and break down banquet and event tables, chairs, displays, and thematic decorations per reservation or event plan.
- Forward member and guest comments and complaints immediately to supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with operating guidelines for R.A.M. and Tips programs and all state and federal laws related to alcohol, tobacco, and other regulations.
- Verify accuracy of all charges, including member notations and credit card authorizations.
- Adhere to service procedures as outlined in TPC Brand Standards and perform special projects or duties as assigned.
Physical Demands and Working Environment
This role requires standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, handling objects up to 25 lbs, and speaking. Vision requirements include close, depth, color, distant, peripheral, and focus adjustment. The employee must comply with all applicable safety and health regulations.
Work Schedule Expectations
The role involves early morning, late night, weekend, and holiday shifts. The position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
