Salary Range - 60-65K

Levy operates all of the food and beverage areas for New York Racing Association's thoroughbred horse racing tracks - Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens, Belmont Race Track in Elmont (reopening 2026*), and Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs. This position will be based at Aqueduct Racetrack. It will support Saratoga Race Course from July to September (through Labor Day) and be required to be onsite in Saratoga Springs during this time. Housing will be provided.

Job Summary

As a Concessions Food and Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for leading and motivating our hourly team members to provide a warm welcome and delicious food to our guests. The ideal candidate will be an experienced operations leader who is focused on people and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  1. Ensuring all stations are set up and ready for events
  2. Supporting the recruitment and training of team members in our standards and procedures
  3. Supervising operations during the event and troubleshooting where needed
  4. Working with colleagues to continuously improve operational performance
  5. Proactively engaging in processes for loss prevention
  6. Working primarily in the concessions department, this role will also support the premium department as needed
  7. Completing point of sale updates and regular maintenance checks
  8. Ensuring the timely implementation and communication of promotions
  9. Managing loss prevention activities including managing cash drops/collection, completing cash variance logs, and overseeing the nightly Goods Out of Stock (GOS) procedure
  10. Working in partnership with other departments to ensure accurate completion of the requisition process
  11. Working with the culinary and purchasing team to ensure regular updates to the concessions theoretical matrix to ensure accurate theoretical margin calculations
  12. Managing gratis sheet process to ensure accurate tracking of any comped items
  13. Ensuring compliance with all Payment Card Information rules
  14. Implementing concessions production sheet to ensure accurate production and minimal wastage
  15. Conducting progressive coaching with team members
  16. Completion of monthly beverage wastage report
  17. Regular equipment maintenance, e.g. beer line cleaning
  18. Re-stocking of concessions and bars to maximize event readiness
  19. Ensuring all appropriate alcohol service signage is placed and that Responsible Service of Alcohol protocols are followed
  20. Completion and processing of alcohol incident logs to identify recurring issues or trends
  21. Supporting recruitment activities for team members and NFPs
  22. Holding pre-shift meetings to set the tone for events
  23. Managing location "Keys to the Future" activities to develop future leaders
  24. Support team member orientation training to ensure all hourly team members
  25. NPO Group management and communication
  26. Overseeing service standards during events to ensure a high level of the guest experience
  27. Ensuring accurate end of month inventory completion
  28. Managing product transfers and requisition sheets to accurately track products during events
  29. Managing and resolving guest complaints
  30. Managing team member incidents/accidents and following all required reporting procedures
  31. Completing a monthly department safety inspection
  32. Monthly safety training conducted for team members
  33. Managing team member scheduling in line with demand forecasts
  34. Verifying payroll, entering gratuities
  35. Subcontractor communications - ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly and submitted, scheduled properly, staffing has completed all required pieces of training, etc.
  36. Completing events walks of the building
  37. Supporting other properties and departments as demanded by the business
  38. Other duties/responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  1. 2+ years of experience in a food and beverage operational position
  2. Bachelor's degree in hospitality management is preferred
  3. High level of computer literacy
  4. Passion for hospitality, food, and retail
  5. Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
