Job Summary

The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for managing the food & beverage operations of the resort to ensure the achievement of established food and beverage quality and guest service standards, as well as departmental revenue and profit goals.

Adhere to local regulations concerning health, safety, or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the Food & Beverage sections and inform the Director of Food and Beverage of any major decisions or relevant information. Oversee all food & beverage costs and inventory discrepancies. Manage all food & beverage direct labor to meet budgetary goals. Ensure food & beverage quality and cost goals are met through proper storage, handling, preparation, and production. Assist in ordering and receiving all types of supplies. Support the director in setting goals and developing strategies, procedures, and policies.
  • Ensure all company and local sanitation standards are met in storage, production, and service of all food and beverages. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards through effective use of sidework, charts, and maintenance. Comply with all health and safety regulations. Manage and access all food & beverage POS systems and software. Oversee all food & beverage operating expenses like supplies and smallwares.
  • Manage and oversee all food & beverage training. Work with leads and trainers to ensure effective onboarding. Manage service in the front of house through servers and bartenders, maintaining high service standards. Conduct teaching sessions, introduce new initiatives, and ensure pre-meal procedures are followed by FOH and HOH staff.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director.
Minimum Requirements
  • Experience managing a team of food & beverage employees through motivation, coaching, and development.
  • Proven experience supervising food & beverage service departments of 20+ employees.
  • Knowledge of controlling factors affecting budgets.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact effectively with guests, management, and staff.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to anticipate guest needs, multitask, and respond quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Passion for teaching and learning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
