Job summary

Woodhill Country Club is seeking a Food & Beverage Manager to lead the club’s dining operations, bars, and poolside service. This hands-on role emphasizes exceptional member experiences, cost control, and high-touch service, with 70% floor leadership and 30% planning duties.

The ideal candidate brings at least 2 years of F&B management within private clubs or luxury settings and strong supervisory skills. Evening/weekend availability is required; private club standards apply.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive F&B management experience with strong operational presence.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a private club, luxury resort, or fine dining setting.
  • Proficient in POS systems and Microsoft 365; Restaurant Manager a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations and ensure high standard of service across F&B outlets.
  • Supervise and mentor staff; foster a positive, productive work environment.
  • Manage scheduling, inventory, and ordering to meet business demands.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team on menu design and execution standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Respond to guest needs and resolve issues promptly with professionalism.

Job Summary and Objectives

Job Title: Food & Beverage Manager

Reports To: Food & Beverage Director

The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for the successful oversight and execution of food and beverage operations at Woodhill Country Club. This hands‑on leadership role is focused on delivering exceptional member and guest experiences through operational excellence, high‑touch service, and consistent team development. This role includes day‑to‑day management of the Club’s restaurants, bars, and poolside service, while contributing to cost control, service innovation, and team alignment with Club standards. This role is approximately 70% floor‑based leadership and 30% administrative and planning duties.

General Information

Classification: Exempt
Position Type: Full Time

Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full‑time, salaried leadership position averaging 45–55 hours per week in season. Flexibility is essential, as the role requires availability across weekdays, evenings, and weekends to support club operations and events. A varying schedule is part of the dynamic, high‑touch environment we offer our members.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Work Environment: Fast‑paced hospitality setting with varied noise levels. Frequent direct member interaction and team collaboration.
Requirements

Qualifications:

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive food & beverage management experience with a strong operational and floor presence.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a private club, luxury resort, or fine dining setting.
  • Familiarity with catering and event management.
  • Proficient in POS systems and Microsoft 365; experience with Restaurant Manager is a plus.
Professional Skills & Knowledge
  • In‑depth knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory systems, elevated service standards, and financial controls.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and performance analysis.
  • Proficiency in wine and beverage service, including pairing principles and product knowledge.
  • Understanding of sanitation, health codes, and compliance standards.
  • Ability to implement staff training programs that drive consistency and excellence.
Leadership & Interpersonal Qualities
  • Service‑oriented leadership with the ability to motivate and develop a high‑performing team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to build rapport with members, guests, and colleagues.

  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Base salary $50,000 to $60,000 per year with the possibility of an annual performance bonus.
