Job summary

Makeready invites applications for a Food & Beverage Manager at our Clayton properties to oversee one or more hotel restaurant experiences, ensuring exceptional execution, financial performance, and elevated guest experiences.

This role partners with property leadership to drive planning, service standards, banquet and event functions, and daily operational excellence. The ideal candidate is guest-focused, financially savvy, and passionate about cultivating strong teams and memorable moments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years in coffee shop, café, or F&B management.
• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation and espresso equipment.
• Proven experience leading, training, and developing teams.
• Financial acumen with experience managing labor, inventory, and cost controls.
• Exceptional guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of assigned restaurant and/or bar venues.
• Maintain exceptional presentation, service execution, and guest satisfaction.
• Establish and uphold service, appearance, and operational standards.
• Hire, train, mentor, and manage team members and leaders as needed.
• Lead regular meetings to ensure consistent and transparent communication.
• Assist with budgeting, inventory management, payroll, and cost control.
• Develop strategies to improve profitability and explore new revenue opportunities.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Banquet teams to anticipate business needs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Monitor industry trends to keep concepts competitive and relevant.
• Collaborate closely with property leadership teams.
