Job summary

Union Padel Club in Chicago is seeking an energetic F&B Leader to elevate the beverage program at LaBarra and drive exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced club environment.

You will manage day-to-day F&B operations, craft drinks and coffee, oversee inventory and events, and partner with programs and events teams to grow revenue while maintaining the highest standards of service. This role offers a base salary of $45,000 plus tips and a complimentary club membership.

We’re looking for an energetic, hospitality-driven F&B Leader who thrives behind the bar, takes pride in elevating every guest experience, and is excited to help lead and build a dynamic food and beverage program in a high-energy community club.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the day-to-day food and beverage experience at LaBarra, creating an inviting, comfortable, and elevated club environment where members and guests want to stay awhile.

• Craft mixed drinks, specialty coffee beverages, and zero-proof options with precision and flair while maintaining strong knowledge of the full beverage program.

• Deliver exceptional hospitality and be a welcoming, familiar presence for our members and guests.

• Reheat, plate, and serve food as needed to provide seamless service and keep the experience flowing.

• Help develop and execute specialty beverage experiences such as mixology classes, tastings, and other interactive programs that build community and drive revenue.

• Own F&B inventory management, ordering, and par levels for food and beverage while minimizing waste and maintaining a well-organized operation.

• Maintain high standards for cleanliness, organization, product quality, and responsible service.

• Partner closely with programming, membership, and operations teams to support special events, socials, tournaments, and club activations with elevated F&B execution.

• Help identify opportunities to grow F&B revenue, introduce new offerings, and continuously improve the member experience.

• Lead from the front—jumping in wherever needed to support the team and ensure every shift runs smoothly.

This role is equal parts craft, hospitality, operations, and leadership. You’ll help shape the personality of LaBarra and play a key role in creating the social heartbeat of Chicago’s premier padel destination.

We expect this role to work Tuesday–Saturday, approximately 2–10 pm Tuesday–Friday and 10 am–6 pm Saturday, serving as a consistent and welcoming presence behind LaBarra.

Who You Are

• Passionate about hospitality, people, and creating memorable experiences that keep guests coming back.

• Skilled at making excellent mixed drinks, specialty coffee, and zero-proof beverages, with a strong understanding of beverage service.

• Comfortable engaging with guests, building relationships, and creating the kind of welcoming environment that makes a club feel like a community.

• Excited to lead engaging experiences like tastings, mixology classes, and other F&B programming.

• Organized and proactive, with the ability to take ownership of inventory, ordering, product quality, and daily operations.

• A team player who enjoys collaborating across departments and jumping in wherever needed.

• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the F&B operation.

• Ideally experienced in bars, restaurants, clubs, hotels, hospitality, or other high-touch environments—but we’re more interested in the right combination of hospitality, craft, energy, and leadership.
