Job description

The Food & Beverage Intern supports the daily operations of the Club’s dining outlets under the guidance of the Assistant Clubhouse Manager and management team. This role is designed to provide hands‑on learning in hospitality operations, food and beverage service, and member engagement. The intern will assist with day‑to‑day tasks while developing an understanding of service standards, teamwork, and club operations in a professional environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in delivering a positive dining experience by engaging with Club members and guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Support the team in maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and service
  • Assist with basic menu updates and provide input based on member feedback and observations
  • Help maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Observe and support staff to learn effective service techniques and team coordination
  • Communicate effectively with both front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house teams to support smooth operations
  • Assist with end‑of‑shift tasks, including basic reporting and organization
  • Support scheduling efforts and assist with shift coordination when needed
  • Assist with inventory counts and organization of stock to help maintain appropriate levels
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing learning opportunities
  • Support the events team with setup, service, and breakdown of special events and private functions
  • Stay informed about hospitality trends and actively participate in learning opportunities
  • Complete other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Hospitality Management or a related field
  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience is a plus, but not required
  • Strong willingness to learn with a positive, proactive attitude
  • Friendly, service‑oriented, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Good communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office; willingness to learn POS and other systems
  • Physically able to perform job duties, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Flexible schedule with willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
