Job summary

Adventureland Park in Iowa is seeking a Food & Beverage Cook to join the team for the J1 student program. You will greet guests, handle transactions, and assist in kitchen operations in a fast-paced theme park environment.

Role involves cooking with fryers and grills, following menu specifications, maintaining sanitation, and working flexible shifts including evenings and weekends. Prior culinary work is a plus, and English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• No education requirements for this role.
• 1+ year of previous culinary work experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, assist with questions, and manage accurate transactions to provide an engaging customer experience.
• Open and close procedures for the assigned Food & Beverage location as directed by team leads and shift supervisors.
• Set up and breakdown of workstation.
• Adhere to labor regulations, including start/end times, breaks, and consecutive days worked.
• Prepare food using fryers, grills and other kitchen equipment following safety guidelines.
