Grain Processing Corporation (GPC) is seeking a Food Applications Science Intern for the 2027 summer in Muscatine, IA. This paid internship offers hands-on experience in our Technical Solutions center, developing formulations for food, pharmaceutical, and personal care applications.

You will work with experienced scientists, contribute to meaningful projects, and gain industry exposure. Housing or gas stipend provided, plus collaborative team experiences to launch your career.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in a related science field with junior or senior standing.
• Hands-on experience in food laboratory settings and familiarity with lab equipment.
• Adherence to safe lab practices and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience with GPC ingredients across food, pharma, and personal care.
• Support Application Scientists in formulations and technical documentation.
• Incorporate feedback to refine prototypes in a collaborative process.
• Format development information for customer inquiries and sales tools.
• Adapt to shifting priorities while collaborating across diverse teams.
• Perform lab testing of processes and materials common to the industries.
• Contribute to trade shows by preparing materials and coordinating logistics.
